Day 1:
An early arrival, will help the guide start the trip from
Jinja town which is just 80kms East of Kampala. Visit the
spectacular Bujagali rapids for the evening and spend the
night at the Speke Camp by the banks of the roaring rapids.
Day
2:
Depart for Kampala passing via the Uganda Martyrs Shrine
where over 22 Christians where burnt alive for professing
their faith in the eyes of the then King Mwanga of Buganda.
Visit the Kasubi Tombs- a UNESCO World Heritage site and
the key to the Uganda’s most innovative pieces of
history. Meal plan Lunch and Dinner at the Cardinal Nsubuga
Center Nambya or Red Chilli Bugolobi.
Day
3:
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national Park, also a UNESCO
World Heritage site and the home of the Mountain Gorillas.
Stop over at the Equator Line for photos and Mbarara town
for lunch before reaching the Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp
for a serene night. View several bird species, the long
horned cattle and the contour farmed hills of Kigezi. Spend
the night in Bohoma or Ruhija camps depending on permit
availability.
Day
4:
Start Gorilla tracking in at 8 am and enjoy trekking in
the thick forest hills hearing and viewing forest birds
and the clean air and the beautiful sceneries.
Day
5:
Return to the Bunyonyi over land Camp for an optional canoe
trip around the islands. Meal plan Lunch and dinner at the
Overland Camp.
Day
6: Drive northwards to the nature adorned Queen
Elizabeth National Park via Kihihi. After lunch at the Ishasha
wilderness Camp, View the Tree-climbing lions on a wildlife
savannah Game drive. Spend the night at the Isasha Camp
bandas.
Day
7:
Drive to the Northern sector of the Park for a game drive
and afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel to see
hippos, and buffaloes, Elephants, the impala, and many other
wildlife species. Lunch and dinner in the Mweya Restaurant
Overnight at Mweya.
Day
8:
Return to Kampala Via the salty crater lakes and also view
the sceneries of Mountain Rwenzori. Lunch in Mubende or
Kampala. Over night at the Nsambya Nsubuga Center.
NB:
::- The itinerary plan will highly depend on the date fixed
for Gorilla tracking.
::- The trip is modified and embeds 2009 rates. for camping
and park entrance.
::- This trip costs just $1094 per person a minimum of 4
people. It can cost less when you are more than 4 but less
than 8.
