Day 1:
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be
met by Sunlink team to transfer to your Accommodation, Your
Driver/guide will advise you on where to change your money
and in case of any local purchases for the Safari.
Day
2:
Early Morning after Breakfast Our Driver/Guide will meet
you at the Hotel/Accommodation to settle any outstanding
balances before you embark on the Journey to western part
of Uganda. At the Equator, you will stop for a health Break,
pictures and shop for a souvenir (or just identify some
items to be picked up on return).
Proceed for 2hours to Mbarara Make a stopover at Agip Motel
for best Ugandan Buffet and continue to the southwest and
head for the Western Rift Valley. Upon arrival in the park
you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs,
before arriving at your accommodation in the middle of the
park. Dinner and overnight at either Ishasha Wilderness
Camp or Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day
3:
Early Morning Breakfast and for game drive and head for
the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. A search for the tree
climbing Lions, elephants, buffaloes, if lucky the Leopard
and many bird Species. Return to your accommodation for
Lunch/ or a packed lunch will have been provided in the
morning. In the afternoon we proceed for a boat cruise along
the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward
and Lake George.
Enjoy abundant birdlife such as such as African Fish eagle,
Grey headed king fisher, Swamp flycatcher, Grey capped Warbler,
Red chested sunbird, Black-headed gonolek, Great White nad
Pink backed Pelican, Great and long tailed Cormorants, Common
Squaco Heron, African open billed stock, Malachite and Pied
kingfishers, Black crake, swamp fly catcher among others
and the hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores.
This cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of
your safari. Return to your accommodation at 5:00pm and
enjoy beautiful sunset.
Day
4:
After breakfast we will take you for a walk through the
Maramagambo Forest, known for the Blue Lake and the Bat
and Hunters Cave. You will get the chance to have a close
look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest
cobras that feed on the bats.
The same walk will provide you with views of different bird
species, primates and trees. After this activity we will
leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and head back towards
the capital city with lunch en route and stopover at the
equator. The driver will take you back to your accommodation
at the Boma Guest house or the Entebbe Airport Guest house
Day
5:
Depending on the time of your flight, day of relaxation
in Entebbe can be organized before transfer to the Airport.
